AND EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER DAUGHTER AND SON, OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS,
AND MANY FRIENDS.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY UPON THE DEATH OF FANNIE BOYD QUILLIAN REEVES OF BISHOPVILLE, WHO PASSED AWAY MARCH 19, 2000, AT THE AGE OF NINETY-SEVEN, AND EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER DAUGHTER AND SON, OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS, AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly were saddened to learn of the death of Fannie Boyd Quillian Reeves of Bishopville; and
Whereas, Mrs. Reeves was born ninety-seven years ago in Gainesville, Georgia, the daughter of the late David Turner Quillian and Sallie Rudolph Quillian; and
Whereas, she was a 1923 graduate of Brenau College in Gainesville, and a retired teacher in the Charleston County School System. She also taught school in Tuskeegee, Alabama, and Gainesville and Clarksville, Georgia; and
Whereas, Mrs. Reeves was a member of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sorority, and the Order of the Eastern Star; and
Whereas, she was the widow of Winfield Robinson Reeves and is survived by her daughter, Frances Reeves Drayton, and son-in-law, Marion Graham Drayton of Bishopville, her son, Chester Quillian Reeves, and daughter-in-law, Linda Paulson Reeves of Aiken, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
Whereas, Mrs. Reeves was a faithful member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Bishopville; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly want the family and friends of Fannie Reeves to know they are uppermost in their thoughts and have the members' deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, express profound sorrow upon the death of Fannie Boyd Quillian Reeves of Bishopville and extend deepest sympathy to her daughter and son, other family members, and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Fannie Boyd Quillian Reeves.
