 AND MANY FRIENDS.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SINCERE SORROW AT THE DEATH OF WILBUR C. EPPS, SR., OF CLARENDON COUNTY, AND EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Wilbur Clifton Epps, Sr., of Clarendon County died December 30, 2001, at the age of seventy-seven; and

Whereas, Mr. Epps was born in New Zion in 1924; he was a retired United States Marshal, a former Clarendon County sheriff's deputy, a former agent for the State Law Enforcement Division, and a former Mason and Shriner; and

Whereas, he also was a former member of the Summerton Lion's Club, past member and Elder of Summerton Presbyterian Church, and a member of Midway Presbyterian Church; and

Whereas, he was devoted to his community and the State and rendered outstanding public and civic service; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to extend their condolences to his family and many friends in this time of sorrow. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sincere sorrow at the death of Wilbur C. Epps, Sr., of Clarendon County and extend deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mr. Epps.
