OF SARDINIA, AND TO EXTEND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY UPON THE DEATH OF MRS. BERNESS MANN MCFADDIN OF SARDINIA, AND TO EXTEND DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were extremely saddened by the death of Mrs. Berness Mann McFaddin, of Sardinia, who passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2001, at the age of seventy-nine; and
Whereas, she was born May 31, 1921, in Savannah, Illinois, to the late Henry Mann and Mata Klemm Mann; and
Whereas, Mrs. McFaddin will be greatly missed but not forgotten. She will be remembered by the many friends she made through her activities at Sardinia Presbyterian Church PCA, where she was a member and former president of the Women of the Church; and
Whereas, she was also active in her community as a member of the Black River American Legion Auxiliary; and
Whereas, the General Assembly extends its sympathy to the family of Mrs. McFaddin. Mrs. McFaddin is survived by her husband, Norman J. McFaddin, Sr.; three sons, Norman J. McFaddin, Jr., of Commerce, Georgia, William H. McFaddin, Sr., of Richmond, Virginia, and Jonathan S. McFaddin, of Sardinia; a daughter, Connie Gamble, of Sardinia; a sister, Betty Mann Garelick, of Boca Raton, Florida; nine grandchildren and three great-children. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Mrs. Berness Mann McFaddin, of Sardinia, and extend their deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Berness Mann McFaddin.
