 RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER'S DAY FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL DEVOTION
 TO HER CHURCH, FAMILY, AND MANY FRIENDS.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

RECOGNIZING MRS. HATTIE LUCILLE GEIGER LA-BORDE OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER'S DAY FOR HER EXCEPTIONAL DEVOTION TO HER CHURCH, FAMILY, AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mrs. Hattie Lucille Geiger La-Borde was born in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1911, the daughter of Jackson and Hattie Geiger; and

Whereas, when she was six months old, her family moved to Richland County where she attended Slate Hill School, a one-room school house, from grades first through eighth; and

Whereas, Mrs. La-Borde was married to the late Eddie La-Borde and together they were the proud parents of two daughters; and

Whereas, she has thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; and

Whereas, throughout her life, she has been a devoted and caring person and has worked diligently with the New Ebenezer Baptist Church's Senior Usher Board for more than forty years; and

Whereas, she celebrated her ninetieth birthday on March 4, 2001, and is dearly loved by her family and many friends; and

Whereas, it is fitting for the members of the General Assembly to recognize Mrs. Hattie Lucille Geiger La-Borde of Richland County on the occasion of Mother's Day. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize Mrs. Hattie Lucille Geiger La-Borde of Richland County on the occasion of Mother's Day for her exceptional devotion to her church, family, and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Hattie Lucille Geiger La-Borde.
