 REVEREND WILBURN BEASLEY OF CLARENDON COUNTY WHO DIED ON MARCH 19, 2002, AND
 TO REFLECT ON HIS LONG AND COMPASSIONATE MINISTRY TO THE PEOPLE OF HIS
 COMMUNITY.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF THE REVEREND WILBURN BEASLEY OF CLARENDON COUNTY WHO DIED ON MARCH 19, 2002, AND TO REFLECT ON HIS LONG AND COMPASSIONATE MINISTRY TO THE PEOPLE OF HIS COMMUNITY.

Whereas, the Reverend Wilburn Beasley was called home after a long life of service to God on Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the age of eight-four; and

Whereas, he was born in Marion County, Alabama, to the late William Isaac and Della West Beasley; and

Whereas, after his graduation from Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tennessee, he answered the call to be a minister within the Free Will Baptist Church and helped spread the word of God to countless worshipers across the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, the Reverend Beasley faithfully served the Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church of Turbeville, South Carolina, until his retirement; and

Whereas, this man of God is survived by his son James and his wife, his two daughters, Betty and Jan, and their husbands, his brother, two sisters, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives pause to celebrate the life and work of the Reverend Beasley, a most faithful servant of God and his community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives express sympathy to the family and many friends of the Reverend Wilburn Beasley of Clarendon County, who died on March 19, 2002, and reflect on his ministry to the people of his community.

Be it further resolved that a copies of this resolution be forwarded to his son James, daughters Betty and Jan, his brother, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
