 OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF MARTHA ETTA RICHARDSON OF
 COLUMBIA UPON HER DEATH.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF MARTHA ETTA RICHARDSON OF COLUMBIA UPON HER DEATH.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Martha Etta Richardson of Columbia on February 9, 2004; and

Whereas, Martha Etta Richardson was born February 26, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana; and

Whereas, she was a graduate of Webber High School in Eastover, South Carolina, Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, she retired as a computer specialist from the United States Department of Agriculture, and also worked as an administrative assistant of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus, and manager of Winstead & Associates, Inc. Her skills and professionalism were recognized by numerous awards, citations, commendations, and other recognitions she received throughout her career; and

Whereas, she was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where she served as lector and epistoler and was former clerk and member of the vestry, and was a former secretary and member of the Board of Directors of Palmetto Trust Federal Credit Union, and the Federal Credit Union; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to her sister, brothers, other members of her family, and friends upon the death of this truly lovely lady. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives express their deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Martha Etta Richardson of Columbia upon her death.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to her family.
