A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE ALLISON MUNN OF COLUMBIA AND HER TALENT AS AN ACTRESS AS SHE PERFECTS HER CRAFT AND PURSUES HER DREAMS BY STARRING IN THEATRE, MOVIES, AND TELEVISION AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN HER CHOSEN FIELD OF ACTING.
Whereas, a native South Carolinian, Allison Munn was born on October 7, 1974, to Russell and Nadine Munn; and
Whereas, realizing her calling at a young age, Ms. Munn spent her childhood taking voice and dance lessons and performing in local theatre productions; and
Whereas, in 1992, Ms. Munn graduated from A. C. Flora High School, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1996 from the College of Charleston, and later moved to New York to study theatre; and
Whereas, after moving to New York to pursue her goal of stardom, she was cast in the long-running Off-Broadway musical, "The Fantasticks", at the Sullivan Street Theatre where she played the coveted role of Luisa for over five hundred performances; and
Whereas, though not yet even thirty years old, Ms. Munn has performed in over fifteen television series including a recurring role as Caroline in Fox's extremely popular, "That 70's Show"; and
Whereas, she has also appeared in movies such as the critically acclaimed "White Oleander" starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zellweger; and
Whereas, Ms. Munn is currently starring as Tina in the WB's weekly series, "What I Like About You"; and
Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the South Carolina General Assembly pauses to recognize one of its citizens whose talents are enjoyed by many through her participation in the entertainment industry. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize Allison Munn of Columbia and her talent as an actress as she perfects her craft and pursues her dreams by starring in theatre, movies, and television and to wish her continued success in her chosen field of acting.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Allison Munn.
