AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-15-60, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976,
RELATING TO COSTS OF NONGAME AND ENDANGERED SPECIES' CONSERVATION PROGRAMS, SO
AS TO PROVIDE FOR PERMITS FOR THE SALE OF ALLIGATOR PRODUCTS AND THAT THE
PROCEEDS FROM PERMIT SALES AND PORTIONS OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF
ALLIGATOR PRODUCTS MAY BE USED TO PAY THE COSTS OF THE ALLIGATOR CONTROL
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM AND PLACED IN THE GAME PROTECTION FUND AND ADMINISTERED
ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 50-1-150.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Alligator products permits
SECTION 1. Section 50-15-60 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 50-15-60. The costs of programs established under this chapter
must be borne by the general fund and must be included in the annual
appropriations act except that the department shall issue permits, at a cost of
thirty-five dollars each, for the sale of alligator products. The department
shall collect the proceeds from the sale of permits and the proceeds from the
sale of alligator products for the costs of administering the Alligator Control
Management Program. These funds must be deposited to the credit of the Game
Protection Fund of the State Treasury and administered according to the
provisions of Section 50-1-150."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. |
