 A Concurrent Resolution to congratulate the Honorable Caspar H. Padgett, Sr.,
 upon his retirement from eighteen years of service as North Charleston
 Municipal Court Judge, to thank him for his dedicated, untiring service to his
 community and this State, and to wish him good health and happiness in his
 retirement.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE HONORABLE CASPER H. PADGETT, SR., UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM EIGHTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE AS NORTH CHARLESTON MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE, TO THANK HIM FOR HIS DEDICATED, UNTIRING SERVICE TO HIS COMMUNITY AND THIS STATE, AND TO WISH HIM GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS IN HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, the Honorable Casper H. Padgett, Sr., of North Charleston, is a native South Carolinian born in Walterboro, South Carolina; and

Whereas, he is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law; and

Whereas, he has had a distinguished career, practicing law primarily in the area of insurance and real estate and, before becoming a municipal court judge, he was associated with R. H. Morse and Company; and

Whereas, upon the incorporation of North Charleston, he was selected as the first municipal court judge for the city; and

Whereas, he was an esteemed member of the bench, serving eighteen years as municipal judge for North Charleston; and

Whereas, he was an outstanding member of the judiciary, an honorable member of the bar, and a gentleman to all who entered his courtroom; and

Whereas, during his tenure as North Charleston Municipal Court judge, he treated all who appeared before him with respect and dignity, dispensing justice with a fair but firm application of the law; and

Whereas, he is admired, respected, and well liked by all who worked with him and all who know him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly wishes to congratulate The Honorable Casper H. Padgett, Sr., upon his retirement from eighteen years of service as North Charleston municipal court judge, to thank him for his dedicated, untiring service to his community and this State, and to wish him good health and happiness in his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to The Honorable Casper H. Padgett, Sr., 1180 Park Place North, North Charleston, South Carolina.
