A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF ROBERT W. WILKES,
SR., OF DUNCAN AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS
FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, Robert William Wilkes, Sr., of Duncan died on March 13,
1993, at the age of seventy-six; and
Whereas, he was born in Douglas, was a retired employee of Lyman
Printing & Finishing Company, and was a member, former deacon,
and elder of Florence Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church; and
Whereas, he was an outstanding member of his community, and we want
his family and his many friends to know that they have our sincerest
sympathy and are uppermost in our thoughts. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Robert W.
Wilkes, Sr., of Duncan and extend sympathy to his family and many
friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to his
widow, Mrs. Robert W. Wilkes, Sr., 318 Duncan-Reidville Road,
Duncan, South Carolina.
