A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED ON DECEMBER 3, 2002, BY THE STUDENTS OF A. R. LEWIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN PICKENS COUNTY WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO A BREAK IN A WATER MAIN IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Lewis Elementary make-up day exempted
SECTION 1. The school day missed on December 3, 2002, by the students of A. R. Lewis Elementary School in Pickens County when the school was closed due to a break in a water main is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
