A HOUSE RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING BURNADENE YARBOROUGH KELLEY ON THE OCCASION OF THE BREAKING OF GROUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF HER NEW SIX THOUSAND SQUARE FOOT FACILITY TO HOUSE KELLEY'S FINE ARTS IN LAKE CITY, AND THANKING HER FOR MAKING AVAILABLE HER HIGHLY TOUTED DANCE PROGRAM AS WELL AS OTHER ARTS TO THE CITIZENS OF THE AREA.
Whereas, Burnadene Yarborough Kelley is the founder and director of Kelley's Fine Arts, a much respected and nationally competitive dance program; and
Whereas, for fifteen years she has operated locations in Olanta, Lake City, Kingstree, and Florence and used her extensive training, experience, and skills in dance, gymnastics, and other areas of the arts to provide the Pee Dee of South Carolina with the opportunity to experience and excel at the arts; and
Whereas, this certified member of the Dance Masters of America and the South Carolina Dance Association has been selected as a representative to the South Carolina Dance Colloquium cosponsored by the state's Dance Education Organization, Dance Association, and Arts Commission, in conjunction with the CORPS de Ballet International 2004 Conference in Columbia in June; and
Whereas, it is with eagerness and gratitude that the citizens of this State anticipate "Miss Burnadene's" continued role as advocate for and teacher of the arts. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Burnadene Yarborough Kelley on the occasion of the breaking of ground for the construction of her new six thousand square foot facility to house Kelley's Fine Arts in Lake City, and thanking her for making available her highly touted dance program as well as other arts to the citizens of the area.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Burnadene Yarborough Kelley.
