RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING THE REVEREND STUART A. KERSEY, PASTOR
OF CHEROKEE AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH IN GAFFNEY, FOR
HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE IN THE
MINISTRY AND WISHING HIM HAPPINESS FOLLOWING HIS
RETIREMENT.
Whereas, the Reverend Stuart A. Kersey has served as the pastor of
Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church in Gaffney for nineteen years and
has been active in the ministry for forty-five years; and
Whereas, he has been a devoted and outstanding minister and is
beloved by all those he has served and who have had the privilege to
know him over the years; and
Whereas, he has announced his intention to retire and will be honored
at a retirement ceremony to be held at Cherokee Avenue Baptist
Church on January 31, 1993. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina, by this resolution, recognize the Reverend Stuart A. Kersey,
pastor of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church in Gaffney, for his many
years of outstanding service in the ministry and wish him much
happiness following his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Reverend Stuart Kersey at Gaffney.
