 OF DEDICATED WITNESS AND OUTSTANDING CHURCH SERVICE.

COMMENDING BISHOP ROBERT L. BISHOP FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED WITNESS AND OUTSTANDING CHURCH SERVICE.

Whereas, on April 19, 1997, Bishop Robert L. Bishop is to be honored at a recognition banquet at the Newberry Community Hall in Newberry; and

Whereas, Bishop Robert Bishop is a native of Newberry County; he is the founder and pastor of Grace Christian Church, Columbia; he was ordained as a bishop and received a doctorate degree in September, 1996; his religious background and dedicated loyal service have combined to touch the lives of many individuals; he has traveled to foreign countries and performed many acts of compassion and charity in the United States; and

Whereas, he is an outstanding church official who is respected and admired by all who know him, and we share in the joy of the occasion honoring him for his excellent work. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Bishop Robert L. Bishop for his many years of dedicated witness and outstanding church service.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Bishop Robert L. Bishop.
