A JOINT RESOLUTION
TO PROVIDE FOR THE WAIVER OF ONE DAY THAT SCHOOLS IN HORRY COUNTY CLOSED IN THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER FROM THE STATUTORY REQUIREMENT THAT SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO SNOW, EXTREME WEATHER, OR OTHER DISRUPTIONS BE MADE UP, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THIS REQUIREMENT DOES NOT APPLY TO TIME MISSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER FROM THESE STORMS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. (A) One day that public schools, private schools, or home schools in Horry County closed in the 2014-2015 school year due to inclement weather may be exempted from the requirement that full school days missed due to snow, extreme weather, or other disruptions be made up.
