ST. MATTHEWS, AND EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

A SENATE RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF FRANCES G.
WANNAMAKER OF ST. MATTHEWS, AND EXTENDING
DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Whereas, Frances G. Wannamaker of St. Matthews has died at the
age of seventy-six; and
Whereas, Mrs. Wannamaker was born in Aiken and graduated from
high school in Wilson, North Carolina, and from the St. Francis
Xavier Hospital School of Nursing in Charleston; and
Whereas, she was dedicated to the nursing profession and was widely
known for her work with the Calhoun County Health Department and
the Orangeburg Cancer Clinic; and
Whereas, she was a courageous founding member of the modern era
Republican Party of Calhoun County in the development of today's
two-party system; and
Whereas, she was an outstanding individual who was admired and
loved by all who knew her, and her presence will be greatly missed;
and
Whereas, we want her family and her many friends to know that they
have our deepest sympathy and are uppermost in our thoughts. Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by
this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Frances G.
Wannamaker of St. Matthews and extend deepest sympathy to her
family and friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mrs. Wannamaker's family.
