A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

HONORING AMERICA'S LEADERS FOR THEIR EFFORTS IN THE WAR AGAINST TERRORISM.

    Amend Title To Conform

Whereas, Secretary of State Colin Powell has led a successful effort to build a worldwide coalition to fight terrorism; and

Whereas, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has led a successful military effort against sponsors of terrorism abroad; and

Whereas, Director of Homeland Security Tom Ridge is leading the effort to build an effective defense against the terrorist threat; and

Whereas, the men and women of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard have shown great courage and sacrifice, protecting the American people from the threat of international terrorism. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express gratitude to President George W. Bush, the President's cabinet, and the men and women of the United States armed forces for their leadership and sacrifice and declare our support for this long and difficult war on terrorism.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to President George W. Bush.
