A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO DECLARE WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, 1998, AS THE
"SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY WOMEN'S
CAUCUS DAY" IN CELEBRATION OF THE SIXTIETH
ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL ORDER OF WOMEN
LEGISLATORS.
Whereas, the General Assembly proudly recognizes the women
serving in our State Legislature for their accomplishments and
contributions to their communities, counties, and the Palmetto State;
and
Whereas, their knowledge, expertise, and wise leadership are
valuable tools to carry South Carolina into the twenty-first century;
and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution,
in order to publicly recognize these accomplishments and
contributions, are desirous of declaring Wednesday, May 13, 1998,
as the "South Carolina General Assembly Women's Caucus
Day". Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South
Carolina hereby declare Wednesday, May 13, 1998, as the
"South Carolina General Assembly Women's Caucus
Day" in celebration of the Sixtieth Anniversary of the National
Order of Women Legislators.
