A BILL

TO INCLUDE WITHIN ANDERSON SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2 IN ANDERSON COUNTY A CERTAIN AREA OF GREENVILLE COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The following described area of Greenville County is included within Anderson School District No. 2 and is within Area No. 2 for purposes of electing district trustees:

Beginning at the point where the current Greenville-Laurens County line meets the Saluda River, and running in a northerly direction along the Saluda River approximately 20,972 feet to a stone near the bank of said River; thence in a straight line N. 15-46 E. 949.23 feet running to a stone; thence N. 23-58 E. approximately 2,082.03 feet to Mountain Creek Road; thence running southeasterly along Mountain Creek Road 597.15 feet; thence N. 40-01 W. 411.94 feet to a point; thence N. 00-41 W. 250.00 feet to Mountain Creek; thence running southeasterly along Mountain Creek approximately 6,066.82 feet; thence leaving Mountain Creek and running easterly along the line bordering property now or formerly owned by Jimmy James McCall and shown on a 1978 plat entitled "Platted Survey for Henry Joe Wells and Sylvia Pauline M. Wells" for a distance of approximately 1,652 feet to French Road; thence running southerly 170.2 feet along French Road; thence S. 82-37 E. approximately 1015 feet to an unnamed creek; thence running in a northerly direction along said creek approximately 2496.66 feet to an iron pin near the bank of said creek on the line bordering property now or formerly owned by Chad T. Suratt and shown on a 1979 plat entitled "Plat for Roger O. Pilgrim"; thence N. 5-7 W. 1464.32 feet to an iron pin on the line of property now or formerly belonging to Joseph A. McCullough; thence N. 6-30 W. 890 feet along the McCullough property line to a stone; thence N. 16-50 E. 1365 feet continuing along the McCullough property line to a stone; thence N. 75-20 W. 158.4 feet to an iron pin and stone; thence N. 8-16 E. 1424.8 feet to an iron pin and a stone; thence N. 19-51 W. 408.2 feet to an iron pin and stone; thence running in a northeasterly direction approximately 699.6 feet along a fence line adjoining property now or formerly belonging to Knight Properties and shown on the "R. A. Knight Plat of 1957"; thence N. 1 E. 858 feet to McCullough Road; thence running easterly along McCullough Road to where it intersects with Augusta Road; thence in a northerly direction along the west side of Augusta Road to where it intersects with West Ridgeway Road; thence crossing Augusta Road to the southeast corner of the intersection of Augusta Road and West Ridgeway Road; thence running southerly 317.6 feet along the eastside of Augusta Road; thence S. 87-28 E. 916.2 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 78-45 E. 922.25 feet along a line bordering property now or formerly owned by Wake H. Myers, Jr., to an iron pin near the northernmost branch of Little Horse Creek; thence running along Little Horse Creek in a southeasterly direction with its various courses and distances to where it intersects with the Greenville-Laurens County line; thence proceeding in a southwesterly direction along the Greenville-Laurens County line to the Saluda River, that being the point of beginning.

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
