A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE THE BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1944 AS THEY PreviousGATHERNext IN CELEBRATION OF THEIR FIFTIETH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION JUNE 10, 1994, AND TO WISH THEM A SUCCESSFUL AND ENJOYABLE REUNION AND BEST WISHES FOR THE FUTURE.

Whereas, the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1944 will hold its fiftieth reunion on June 10, 1994, at the Adams Mark Hotel in Columbia, South Carolina; and

Whereas, there were 116 graduates and after graduation some entered the military which was at the height of World War II. Many continued their education becoming college professors, elementary and secondary school teachers, and school administrators. Many other classmates have worked in various departments of federal, state, county, and city governments; and

Whereas, a group of local members of the Class of 1944 Washingtonians have joined together to celebrate the fiftieth class reunion and the rich heritage of the mighty Tornadoes of Booker T. Washington High School. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, hereby recognize the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1944 as they Previousgather in celebration of their fiftieth high school reunion June 10, 1994, and wish them a successful and enjoyable reunion and best wishes for the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Avery "Chuck" Fields, Sr.
