FORMER STUDENTS IN ANY CLASS FROM FIRST GRADE TO TWELFTH GRADE A SUCCESSFUL
AND ENJOYABLE REUNION WEEKEND AND BEST WISHES FOR THE FUTURE.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE ALL STUDENTS OF LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL
AS THEY GATHER IN CELEBRATION OF THEIR THIRD HIGH
SCHOOL REUNION, AND TO WISH ALL FORMER STUDENTS
IN ANY CLASS FROM FIRST GRADE TO TWELFTH GRADE
A SUCCESSFUL AND ENJOYABLE REUNION WEEKEND AND
BEST WISHES FOR THE FUTURE.
Whereas, all former students of Lincoln High School are invited to
attend a class reunion to be held on Friday, May 23, 1997 and
continuing through Sunday, May 25, 1997 at the Ramada Inn in
Sumter, South Carolina; and
Whereas, this is a school reunion for any person who ever attended
Lincoln High School in any class first grade through twelfth; and
Whereas, many former students continued their education, becoming
college professors, elementary and secondary school teachers, and
school administrators, and many other classmates have worked in
various departments of federal, state, county, and city governments;
and
Whereas, a group of distinguished former students has worked
diligently to plan the weekend festivities of this reunion which is
highlighted by being a part of the internationally acclaimed "Irish
Garden Festival Parade" on Sunday afternoon; and
Whereas, the students of Lincoln High are fortunate to have as their
keynote speaker someone who is known for his ministry, knowledge,
respectability, and effective leadership, Doctor Luns C. Richardson,
President of Morris College, who shall conclude the weekend's
festivities with his address; and
Whereas, the General Assembly wishes to recognize Mrs. Miriam
Smalls Willis who served as Coordinator, Mrs. Queen Williams
Spann who served as Co-Coordinator, Mrs. Dorothy Isaac Richards
who served as Secretary, Ms. Marian (Ray) Willis who served as
Financial Secretary, Mr. Drefus Williams who served as Treasurer,
and Reverend Ralph Canty who served as Chaplain for their service
as officers on the reunion committee. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives
concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution,
hereby recognize all former students of Lincoln High School as they
gather in celebration of their third high school reunion May 23, 1997
and wish them a successful and enjoyable reunion weekend and best
wishes for the future.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mrs. Miriam Smalls Willis, Reunion Coordinator.
