A Bill to provide that state funds shall not be used to construct buildings
after July 1, 1980, unless solar energy systems are utilized where such
systems are practical and economically feasible; to provide for income tax
deductions for energy conservation and renewable source expenditures; to amend
Section 12-35-550, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, relating
to sales tax exemptions, so as to provide for an exemption for solar energy
devices and systems; and to authorize the creation of solar easements to
protect the effectiveness of solar heating systems.
