Smith, Stewart and Clark (A247, R252, H4526) AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-40, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN AIKEN COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE AND RENAME CERTAIN PRECINCTS AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina: Voting precincts, renamed and revised, map number redesignated SECTION 1. Section 7-7-40 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 212 of 2004, is further amended to read: "Section 7-7-40. (A) In Aiken County there are the following voting precincts: Aiken #1 Aiken #2 Aiken #3 Aiken #4 Aiken #5 Aiken #6 Aiken #47 Anderson Pond #69 Ascauga Lake Bath Beech Island Belvedere #9 Belvedere #44 Belvedere #62 Breezy Hill Carolina Heights Cedar Creek #64 China Springs Clearwater College Acres Couchton Eureka Fox Creek 58 Fox Creek 73 Gem Lakes Gloverville Graniteville Hammond New Holland Hollow Creek Jackson Langley Levels Levels #72 Lynwood Midland Valley #51 Midland Valley #71 Millbrook Misty Lakes Monetta Montmorenci New Ellenton North Augusta #25 North Augusta #26 North Augusta #27 North Augusta #28 North Augusta #29 North Augusta #54 North Augusta #55 North Augusta #67 North Augusta #68 Oak Grove Perry Redds Branch Salley Sandstone #70 Shaws Fork Shiloh Silver Bluff Six Points #35 Six Points #46 Sleepy Hollow #65 Tabernacle Talatha Pine Forest Vaucluse Wagener Ward Warrenville White Pond Willow Springs Windsor (B) The precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) of this section are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-03-06 and as shown on certified copies of the official map provided by the office to the State Election Commission and the Aiken County Board of Elections and Registration. (C) The polling places for the precincts provided in subsection (A) of this section must be established by the Aiken County Board of Elections and Registration with the approval of a majority of the county legislative delegation." Time effective SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. Ratified the 14th day of March, 2006. Approved the 15th day of March, 2006.
