 A Bill to amend Section 58-5-250, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976,
 relating to filing of public utility rate schedules and putting such rates
 into effect under bond, so as to increase the time to six months during which
 the Commission may suspend the operation of new schedules and eliminate the
 bond authority; to amend Section 58-9-540 and 58-27-870, relating to hearings
 on rate increases by telephone or electrical utilities, so as to make the
 suspension period coincide with the suspension period provided in Section
 58-5-250; and to repeal Sections 58-9-550 and 58-27-880 relating to putting
 rates for electric and telephone utilities in effect under bond prior to
 Public Service Commission approval.
