Whereas, Richland School District One will soon observe its thirtieth anniversary as a multi-site partner with the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program. Whereas, Richland District One continues to be a distinguished partner of RIF; it is one of the largest multi-site projects in the PreviousnationNext, is the recipient of the State Attorneys General Classroom Lending Project, and has been featured PreviousnationallyNext in RIF Net, RIF's PreviousnationalNext staff development project. The district continues to have outstanding participation in RIF's many special activities, such as the PreviousNationalNext Poster Contest and PreviousNational Reading Celebration; and

Whereas, through local support from the Richland District One School Board Commissioners, the district's RIF project is able to purchase thousands of new books each year for distribution to the eleven thousand students in grades K-12 who are served by RIF; Richland District One recognizes the substantial benefits RIF provides to its students and the positive opportunity it creates for the community to interact with its youth; and

Whereas, Richland District One is very proud of its association with Reading Is Fundamental and commends the Office of Instructional Technology Services, the school based RIF sponsors, and many RIF volunteers for their dedication and hard work in providing this valuable resource to the students and families of the Richland One community for the past thirty years. Now, therefore,
