 A HOUSE RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE NATION FORD HIGH SCHOOL "LADY
 FALCONS" VOLLEYBALL TEAM FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SEASON AND FOR CAPTURING THE 2010
 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE TEAM'S EXCEPTIONAL
 PLAYERS, COACHES, AND STAFF.

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE NATION FORD HIGH SCHOOL "LADY FALCONS" VOLLEYBALL TEAM FOR ITS OUTSTANDING SEASON AND FOR CAPTURING THE 2010 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE TEAM'S EXCEPTIONAL PLAYERS, COACHES, AND STAFF.

Whereas, well prepared for the challenge, the Nation Ford High School "Lady Falcons" volleyball team cruised to the 2010 Class AAA State Championship title, defeating Hilton Head 3-0 on November 6, 2010; and

Whereas, Head Coach Carrie Christian, with grueling practices, hard work, and determination, built her volleyball program into a championship team and plans to keep it that way; and

Whereas, this crowning victory caps a 29-4 season for the Nation Ford players, marking the school's first state title in a girls' sport and its second state title overall; and

Whereas, ranked number one for most of their playoff run, the Lady Falcons didn't drop a set the entire five games during the playoffs and finished the season with fifteen straight winning matches; and

Whereas, the Nation Ford High School volleyball team has brought great pride and recognition to its school and community, and the House of Representatives is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize such a wonderful group of young women. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend the Nation Ford High School "Lady Falcons" volleyball team for its outstanding season and for capturing the 2010 Class AAA State Championship title, and honor the team's exceptional players, coaches, and staff.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Beverley Bowman and Head Coach Carrie Christian of Nation Ford High School.
