A Concurrent Resolution to honor Jo Anne Saint Clair who has successfully
transformed the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social
Workers through her dedication and professionalism and has unselfishly strived
to protect, preserve, and enhance the rights of others and the welfare of the
community.

A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO HONOR JO ANNE SAINT CLAIR WHO HAS SUCCESSFULLY
TRANSFORMED THE SOUTH CAROLINA CHAPTER OF THE
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS THROUGH
HER DEDICATION AND PROFESSIONALISM AND HAS
UNSELFISHLY STRIVED TO PROTECT, PRESERVE, AND
ENHANCE THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS AND THE WELFARE OF
THE COMMUNITY.
Whereas, Jo Anne Saint Clair, through personal initiative and
outstanding abilities, worked her way up the ranks of the South Carolina
Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers to the position of
Executive Director; and
Whereas, under the leadership of Jo Anne Saint Clair, the South
Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers doubled
its membership and created a strong fund raising base; and
Whereas, Jo Anne Saint Clair has been an outstanding example of self-sacrifice, dedication, and faithful service to the community; and
Whereas, Jo Anne Saint Clair has been tireless in her efforts to foster the
passage of new legislation aimed at protecting, preserving, and
enhancing the rights of others; and
Whereas, Jo Anne Saint Clair has faithfully served upon numerous
community service committees while remaining active in her church and
educational projects. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly and the people of South
Carolina are grateful to Jo Anne Saint Clair for her hard work and
unyielding service to the community and the National Association of
Social Workers. Jo Anne Saint Clair has been an inspiration and an
excellent example of social workers who perform their duties with
professionalism and pride. While the General Assembly and the people
of South Carolina will certainly feel the loss of such a competent
professional, the General Assembly and the people of South Carolina
wish Jo Anne Saint Clair the same continued success in Ohio which she
has enjoyed as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Chapter of
the National Association of Social Workers.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jo
Anne Saint Clair.
