A SENATE RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING GREELEYVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
OF WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY ON BEING CHOSEN AS A
WINNER OF THE NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS
AWARD.
Whereas, Greeleyville Elementary School of Williamsburg County has
been selected as one of the eleven South Carolina winners of the
United States Department of Education's national Blue Ribbon
Schools Program awards; and
Whereas, the Blue Ribbon Schools Program gives national recognition
to schools that are unusually effective in meeting local, state, and
national education goals and in educating all of their students; and
Whereas, schools that are recognized through the program serve as
models for other schools; and
Whereas, Greeleyville Elementary School, where Mr. Ralph Fennell,
Jr., serves as the principal, is an excellent school in every way; and
Whereas, at Greeleyville Elementary School the students, parents,
teachers, administrators, and staff have come together to ensure an
outstanding learning environment and that ideals and the highest goals
in education are attained; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is proud and pleased to have this
opportunity to recognize such a fine school. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, congratulates Greeleyville Elementary School of
Williamsburg County on being chosen as a winner of the national
Blue Ribbon Schools award.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Greeleyville Elementary School, in care of Mr. Ralph Fennell, Jr.,
principal, P.O. Box 237, Greeleyville, 29056.
