A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY NATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC., ON ITS OUTSTANDING ACTIVITIES AND ENDEAVORS TO PROMOTE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY.

Whereas, the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association, Inc., is a legally chartered entity, separate and apart from South Carolina State University, which exists primarily for the purpose of maintaining loyalty to the University and which acts in the interest of the University to promote education, scholarship, and support; and

Whereas, through various programs, the association seeks to develop and maintain the spirit of the University, disseminate knowledge, and establish closer relationships among the respective components of the University family; and

Whereas, the association's national officers for 1993-95 are an outstanding group of persons who are working diligently to carry out the goals of the association; and

Whereas, the president of the association for 1993-95 is attorney Louis Buck; and

Whereas, under Mr. Buck's leadership and that of the other national officers the association is making great strides and accomplishing many worthy goals; and

Whereas, South Carolina State University continues to benefit from the actions of the association and attains greater prestige and prominence every year because of the hard work and the success of the association. Now, therefore, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association, Inc., on its outstanding activities and endeavors to promote South Carolina State University.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the association, in care of Louis Buck, Esquire, President.
