 OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE SOUTH AIKEN HIGH
 SCHOOL "THOROUGHBREDS" GOLF TEAM AND HEAD COACH DONNIE HOLLAND, ON CAPTURING
 THE 2001 CLASS AAAA STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.

TO EXPRESS THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE SOUTH AIKEN HIGH SCHOOL "THOROUGHBREDS" GOLF TEAM AND HEAD COACH DONNIE HOLLAND, ON CAPTURING THE 2001 CLASS AAAA STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the South Aiken High School "Throroughbreds" Golf Team put the finishing touches on a dominating season by winning their second straight Class AAAA State Golf Championship; and

Whereas, the Thoroughbreds also won titles as a Class AAA team in 1986 and 1990 to go with their most recent championships; and

Whereas, the success and teamwork of the Thoroughbreds Golf Team certainly reflect the skill, training, and guidance of Head Coach Donnie Holland; and

Whereas, with all but two players returning next year, it appears the Thoroughbreds have a legitimate chance at a "three-peat". Other coaches within the Palmetto State's golf circle are even mentioning the word "dynasty"; and

Whereas, the members of the South Aiken Golf Team are Dane Burkhart, Patrick Cunning, Will Durrett, Kyle Findley, Alex Hamilton, Justin Hendrix, Kevin Kisner, and Brad Page; and

Whereas, the success of the 2001 Thoroughbreds Golf Team has brought great pride and recognition not only upon South Aiken High School and its loyal and enthusiastic students, administration, and supporters, but also to all of Aiken County and the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, we would like to commend each player and especially Coach Donnie Holland upon the conclusion of a truly memorable season. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the South Aiken High School "Thoroughbreds" Golf Team and Head Coach Donnie Holland on capturing the 2001 Class AAAA State Golf Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Head Coach Donnie Holland.
