A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
COMMENDING THE PASTORS AND CHURCH MINISTERS IN
CLARENDON COUNTY FOR ESTABLISHING THE
CLARENDON COUNTY INTERDENOMINATIONAL
MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE AND WISHING THEM SUCCESS IN
THEIR ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, pastors and church ministers in Clarendon County have
formed the Clarendon County Interdenominational Ministerial
Alliance; and
Whereas, the Alliance has formally brought together for the first time
people of different religions and different churches; the members of
the Alliance seek to use their united efforts to build a better county,
better race relations, and a better community for all; and
Whereas, the establishment of the Alliance has been under the
guidance of the newly-elected president of this organization,
Reverend J. R. Blanding; Reverend Blanding is a lifelong pastor,
county school board member, and a beloved and highly respected
member of the community; additionally, Reverend Stephen Bowe has
been elected vice president of the Alliance, Reverend George P.
Windley has been chosen to serve as the Alliance's treasurer,
Reverend Darrell Bordeaux has been named secretary, and Reverend
Mitchell Adger has been elected assistant secretary; and
Whereas, the Alliance's dedicated and devoted pastors and ministers
have decided to join hands to make a difference in the community
and a difference in the State of South Carolina, and they are setting
an example which should be followed everywhere; and
Whereas, we are indeed pleased to have this opportunity to recognize
such an outstanding effort, as well as the individuals who have put it
together and are making it work. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, commends the pastors and church ministers in Clarendon
County for establishing the Clarendon County Interdenominational
Ministerial Alliance and wishes them success in their endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the Clarendon County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.
