SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO WISH HIM WELL IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

TO COMMEND AND EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO JAMES C.
LANE OF H. E. CORLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR HIS
OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED SERVICE AS PRINCIPAL
OF H. E. CORLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND AS AN
EDUCATOR TO THE STUDENTS OF DISTRICT FIVE OF
LEXINGTON AND RICHLAND COUNTIES AS WELL AS THE
CHILDREN OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO WISH HIM WELL
IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Mr. James C. Lane has served with great distinction and
unsurpassed dedication as principal of H. E. Corley Elementary of
District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties since 1991; and
Whereas, his outstanding leadership and commitment to his vision of
putting "Children First" has been vital to H. E. Corley Elementary
School and the education of its children; and
Whereas, Mr. Lane has worked tirelessly to unite educators and state,
community, and school leaders to improve the educational future of
the children of H. E. Corley Elementary and of all children across the
State; and
Whereas, his many contributions to the school district over the years
are deserving of special recognition and expressions of gratitude for
his efforts on behalf of the school district; and
Whereas, Mr. Lane's service has meant a great deal to the teachers,
children, and parents of the H. E. Corley Elementary School family
and to the community; and
Whereas, as he leaves his position as principal at the close of the
1996-97 school term, Mr. Lane's contributions will long be
remembered and appreciated and he will be greatly missed as he
embarks on his new career in higher education. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, commends and expresses sincere appreciation to James C.
Lane for his outstanding and dedicated service as principal of H. E.
Corley Elementary School and as an educator to the students of
District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties, as well as the
children of South Carolina, and wishes him well in all his future
endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. James C. Lane.
