RESOLUTION
COMMENDING PAUL E. ROBINSON, SR., OF ORANGEBURG
COUNTY FOR HIS OUTSTANDING BUSINESS CAREER AND
MANY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY, AND
EXTENDING BEST WISHES TO HIM UPON HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Paul E. Robinson, Sr., of Orangeburg County has long been
a faithful member and deacon of St. Paul Baptist Church of
Orangeburg; and
Whereas, Mr. Robinson fought bravely for his country during the
Korean conflict; and
Whereas, he is a lifelong resident of Orangeburg and he graduated
from Wilkinson High School and from the Denmark Area Trade
School in barbering; and
Whereas, he established Professional Barber Shops, Inc., in
Orangeburg in 1957 and has employed and trained many young men
over the years; he has been an entrepreneur and highly successful
small business leader for over forty years and is recognized as a role
model in the community; and
Whereas, he has been married to Josephine Elizabeth Felder
Robinson for more than forty years and together they have raised a
family of three children; and
Whereas, Mr. Robinson is retiring from active business endeavors in
1998; and
Whereas, he is an outstanding individual who is greatly respected,
admired, and loved throughout the community, and we are delighted
to have the opportunity to recognize him in this special way. Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, commends Paul E. Robinson, Sr., of Orangeburg County
for his outstanding business career and many contributions to the
community and extends best wishes to him upon his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. Robinson.
