A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS
OF THE LATE TONEY GRAHAM, SR. OF WILLIAMSBURG
COUNTY.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were saddened to note
that Toney Graham, Sr., son of the late David Graham, died on May 4,
1992; and
Whereas, Mr. Graham, a Williamsburg County native, was a prominent
farmer and landscaper and a long time member of Mt. Beulah Methodist
Church; and
Whereas, Mr. Graham married Candice Fulmer, also of Williamsburg
County, and together they raised seven sons: Cleo, William, Kirkland,
Lavern, Larue, Toney, Jr., and Albert L.; and also five adopted children:
Albert, Martin, Pearl, Lou, and Mabel; and
Whereas, Mr. Graham took particular pride and delight in his family and
passed on to these devoted children his commitment to hard work and
dedication to his community; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to
pause in their deliberations so that they might note the passing of so
distinguished a son of Williamburg County and South Carolina. Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly express their sympathy to
the family and many friends of the late Toney Graham, Sr., of
Williamsburg County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs.
Candice Fulmer Graham.
