 A HOUSE RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THADDEOUS AND KATIE COLEMAN, OF BEAUFORT,
 ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND TO EXTEND BEST
 WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AND FULFILLMENT.

TO CONGRATULATE THADDEOUS AND KATIE COLEMAN, OF BEAUFORT, ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AND FULFILLMENT.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Thaddeous and Katie Coleman celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on July 5, 2006; and

Whereas, there is no greater success in life than a marriage and family life that endure the test of time and grow stronger with each passing year; and

Whereas, the long-lasting love and support of a spouse is unmatched in its importance and cannot be overestimated; and

Whereas, Thaddeous and Katie Coleman's commitment to one another over the past fifty years is to be revered and serves as an inspiration to both family and friends; and

Whereas, Thad Coleman, now retired from Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services after many years of dedicated service, spends time chauffeuring the grandchildren, attending sports activities, reading, and caring for the lawn, among other things, and considers one of his crowning achievements as having had the good sense to marry his beloved Katie and to raise with her three fine children, daughters Karen, Thia, and Elisa; and

Whereas, Katie Coleman spends her well-earned retirement from teaching music and elementary education in caring for the grandchildren, singing, gardening, collecting poems and recipes, and participating in church and community activities; and

Whereas, dedicated members of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Beaufort, Thad and Katie together have walked with the Lord through life, instilled a love of the Lord in their children, and demonstrated that love through their daily words and actions; and

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the members of the House of Representatives express their congratulations to these two special South Carolinians on reaching the milestone of their golden wedding anniversary. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Thaddeous and Katie Coleman on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and extend best wishes for many more years of blessing and fulfillment.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Thaddeous and Katie Coleman.
