H 2733 General Bill, By W.E. Applegate and R.L. Helmly
 A Bill to enact the South Carolina Ground-Water Protection Act so as to
 provide for the regulation of injection wells and facilities; to assure proper
 protection of underground sources of drinking water; and to provide penalties
 for violations; to amend Section 40-23-10, Code of Laws of South Carolina,
 1976, relating to definitions of terms in Chapter 23 of Title 40, so as to
 include well drillers in the definition of "operators"; to amend Section
 40-23-20, as amended, relating to the Board of Certification of Environmental
 Systems Operators, so as to provide for one member of the Board to be
 recommended by the Well Drillers Associaiton and increase the size of the
 Board; to amend Section 40-23-100, relating to certification of environmental
 systems operators, so as to provide for certification of certain well
 drillers; and to amend Section 40-23-140, relating to required certification
 of such operators to include well drillers among those operators required to
 be certified.
