Summary: Job tax credit
    AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 12-14-80, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE INVESTMENT TAX CREDIT FOR MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTIVE EQUIPMENT, SO AS TO EXPAND THE CREDIT TO CERTAIN ACTIVITIES WHERE THE TAXPAYER COMMITS TO EMPLOYING ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES IN THIS STATE AND COMMITS TO INVEST FOUR HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN THIS STATE, TO DEFINE TERMS, AND TO SET FORTH THE PROCESS BY WHICH A TAXPAYER QUALIFIES FOR THE CREDIT AND THE PROCESS BY WHICH THE AMOUNT OF THE CREDIT IS DETERMINED; AND BY ADDING SECTION 12-54-87 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT FOR PURPOSES OF DISCOUNTS ALLOWED FOR TIMELY FILING OF RETURNS, IF THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE WAIVES ALL PENALTIES FOR LATE FILING DUE TO REASONABLE CAUSE, THE DISCOUNT MUST BE ALLOWED. - ratified title
