    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 56-3-1230, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE PRODUCTION AND ISSUANCE OF LICENSE PLATES, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO ISSUE NEW LICENSE PLATES AT LEAST EVERY SIX YEARS, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT MUST COLLECT A ONE DOLLAR FEE WHEN A VEHICLE IS REGISTERED OR REREGISTERED TO OFFSET THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRODUCTION OF NEW LICENSE PLATES.
