A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 15-1-325 so as to provide that a person commits the intentional tort of "assault by threat" if that person by an act of words or other communication states to another person that he will be subject to a physical danger at the hands of the utterer such that the act puts the one threatened in immediate apprehension of a future, but not imminent, act of physical violence.
