    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-13-115 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A COMPENSATION PACKAGE OFFERED TO A SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT MAY NOT INCLUDE A PROVISION THAT ALLOWS THE SUPERINTENDENT TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION THAT EXCEEDS ONE YEAR'S SALARY UPON TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT WITH THE DISTRICT, AND TO PROVIDE THAT AN INCREASE IN SUPERINTENDENT COMPENSATION MUST BE APPROVED BY REFERENDUM.
